Chelsea 0-1 Dortmund in the UCL last-16 first leg

Chelsea played decently well on the field at Dortmund in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16, however, Coach Potter’s team had to leave with a 0-1 defeat.

With the advantage of playing at home, Dortmund had a better start than Chelsea in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16. The home team controlled the ball more and also had more shots, although Dortmund’s shots were not really dangerous for Arrizabalaga’s goal.

In the 16th minute, Dortmund’s net shook when Silva jumped up to head the ball from the away team’s free kick. However, the referee not only did not recognize the goal but also gave Silva a yellow card for deliberately using his hand to play the ball.

Despite their great effort, Chelsea could not find the equalizing goal, so Coach Potter’s team had to accept the bitter 0-1 defeat. The second leg of the round of 16 will take place at Stamford Bridge on March 8th.
