Chelsea have signed Dujuan Richards from Phoenix All Stars

Chelsea has announced a successful contract signing with a striker who scored up to 31 goals and 19 assists in the previous season.
After a disappointing start to the year 2023, Chelsea has begun an incredible resurgence. The team of coach Graham Potter has won three consecutive matches against Leeds, Dortmund, and most recently, Leicester City.
However, with 600 million pounds poured into the last two transfer windows, it is clear that The Blues need more to regain the trust of their fans. Nonetheless, Chelsea seems to be heading towards a more successful season by not forgetting to reinforce their squad through the signings they have made.
Recently, the official website of Chelsea announced the successful recruitment of striker Dujuan Richards from the Phoenix All Stars Academy.
It is noteworthy that Richards is still very young at only 17 years old. However, the talent of the Jamaican player has attracted a lot of attention from European giants as he scored up to 31 goals and 19 assists in the previous season.
Dujuan Richards was heavily pursued by Newcastle United in the recent past. Even the player born in 2005 was said to have tried out at “The Magpies”. However, the enthusiasm of The Blues along with promising words “pushed” Richards to leave St James Park.
It is known that Chelsea has a very detailed plan for Dujuan Richards in the next season as he will not only play for The Blues’ youth team. The Stamford Bridge club’s management wants coach Graham Potter to constantly monitor the potential of this signing and create opportunities for him to quickly catch up with his senior teammates in the official squad.
Overall, Dujuan Richards is not expected to shine immediately upon arrival at Chelsea due to his young age. However, the Director of Phoenix All Stars Academy, Craig Butler, has confirmed that the 17-year-old striker will soon become a superstar in The Blues’ jersey.
